OUR STORY

At NUNA LLC, we honor the wisdom, and legacy of Alaska's Indigenous peoples, who have stewarded the state's natural resources for millennia. The word "nuna" means "land" in Inupiat, Yup'ik, and other Indigenous Alaskan languages, reflecting our deep connection to the earth. We acknowledge that Anchorage is located within Dena'ina Ełnena, the traditional homelands of the Dena'ina Athabascan people.

Our founder began her career as a geologist in 2017, exploring Alaska’s majestic terrains while working in production mining, and exploration. Her dual experience as a geologist, and STEM educator laid a unique foundation for NUNA. Created to reshape the narratives of Alaska's extractive industries, NUNA highlights the importance of minerals in sustainability through positive, and expertly crafted content.
